Looking for an original but I'm not dismissing a James River model if I come across one. Have a line on a very clean one but I'll have to wait for Christmas bills to settle and fix the transmission in the truck first.

Gotcha. Originals are great but can definitely gouge the wallet.

What's the opinion on the STI 1911 RangeMaster in 9mm... .45auto is $25 for 50...just looking for a cheaper way to practice regularly on the 1911 platform... Pricey though at $1500

Have you heard of the Ruger 22/45? 22LR based on a 1911 platform. I haven't shot it myself, but you may want to look into it.

I have a 1911 style .22lr...

I wanna practice with a bit more recoil/realism but spend less money.

I should probably just pull the trigger on a good reloading setup for .45 instead...

I'm adding a Para Black Ops Recon to my list, but I highly doubt it will be purchased this year.

9mm camp rifle?

That looks fun. Real, honest to God, hold my beer and watch this kind of fun.

Hope you get it!

I'm getting a 1911. Probably a Metro Arms American Classic commander. Have been told by one of our resident 1911 experts that it's a good starter 1911.

You want to get blued or stainless?

Probably the blued. I like the ACII duo-tone, but don't want to spend the extra $$$ on a different color "starter" 1911. For that price I'd just snag the Ruger.
