No and here's why.
Most home invasions aren't just one person, usually a group. A .22 round doesn't carry enough stopping power to neutralize a person unless its to the head or heart. You may need a 30 round magazine because under adrenaline, its difficult to make head or heart shots.
This is even more serious if the person is on something like PCP. Multiple videos of individuals on PCP being shot 10+ times to the chest and torso and still walking forward like nothing is wrong with larger caliber such as 9 or 40.
So unless you have an extremely reliable 30 round magazine which most dont, never would I rely on 22.

More holes are better than no holes.

I haven’t read all of the replies, but if shot placement is good….

It’s better than nothing that’s for sure but it’s not ideal. If it were me and that was all I had I would hit up the local pawn shop and buy the cheapest 12 gauge some pot head sole to get a bag of weed.

Sure beats not having a firearm. Is it ideal? No, but see my first point made.
A fully loaded clip and 10 holes in a perpetrator is better than you ending up 6 feet in the dirt.

I use my 20” double barrel turkey shotgun with turkey chokes and TSS.
Hopefully ventilate the perp.

Used to have one just like that. I could driving finishing nail with that thing at 50 yards. Wish I had never sold it. I might need to build another.

To everyone, the question was about being comfortable. Of course I would. I’m confident it would get me out of the situation and live to tell the tale.
Prefer? Of course not. All of the points about stopping power are obvious ones and not really arguable. But they don’t address the OP.
If you don’t think it would do damage though, I invite you to come over for an experiment
