Would like some opinions on truck bed liners.

Just bought a new truck and looking at getting a spray in liner for it. Interested in opinions of different liners. Rhino, Line-x, etc. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had 2 trucks with Line X. Never had a problem out of them. Both faded over time if that’s a negative.

I've had Rhino on two trucks. One a 1998 that I owned for over 20 years and my 2018 Tundra.
I like that Rhino is a little more rubbery and tacky than line X. It is more susceptible than line x to cuts and scrapes from sharp metal objects but your coolers and cargo don't slide all over the place either.
I've had luck touching mine up over the years with urethane windshield sealant (not silicone) and products like flex seal.
Line X is a great product but also hard and slippery in my experience.
Also make sure the dealer takes out the bed bolts and removes the other bolt on appurtences (tie down hooks, bed lights, etc.). If they refuse, do it yourself and plug the bolt holes prior to coating. Some dealers unbolt all of that by default, some refuse to, not sure why but most that don't claim "liability" (IMHO, laziness).

I had Rhino in my 95 Ranger and in 05 when Katrina hit and took out my truck, it still looked good.
I have a Silverado now and am considering getting it sprayed with the Rhino again since the bed is showing a bit of wear and tear from hauling stuff from time to time.

What prices are we looking at for a sprayed in liner?
About to get mine done soon

Can't really help since I got my Ranger done around 97 and haven't priced getting my Silverado done yet.
My best guestimate would be in the $650-700 range for the Silverado.
If I remember correctly, the Ranger was something like $350 or so in 97.
ETA: Curiosity got the best of me and I found the prices all over the place depending on what company you use but the ranges were from $450 to $700 with the average being around $525.

I have a horse stall mat from tractor supply.
The bed will get scratched to shite then I'll get it sprayed. They scuff it all up anyway. Might as well wait.

If im doing it myself: monstaliner
It can be applied at any thickness you want. But it's very hard and slippery.
If having someone else do it: Armadillo or linex UV.
Armadillo is smoother and will sunfade in under a year. But it's typically a very tough product.
Linex UV takes 5-6 years to sunfade. Smoother. Tough.
Basically have a spray in liner done. Then give it a good wash with dawn or degreaser to remove all of the oils. Put some 3M tape down and tape in a bed mat. That'll stop it from moving and wearing through the liner over time.
Go to a spray car wash, kick it to wax, and spray the sides and front down really well. Do that once or twice a year and it won't sun fade.

I had a Rhino lining in my previous truck. Zero complaints. As someone else mentioned, things won't slide around in it. Line-X linings are just as good but things will slide around easier, which does making loading something heavy easier if you are trying to slide something into the bed by yourself.
Can't go wrong with either IMO.

Yeah I think I paid around $300 in 1999 for a Linex in a short bed F150.
Trucks I’ve bought since then all came with a spray in liner.
I like a spray in liner although it’s not a necessity. Truck beds are tough unless you’re hauling jagged scrap metal and loads of bricks.

I'll be the black sheep here: Ive had full cap Bedrug going on 6 years and love it. Hadine-X in a truck before.
Bedrug fills in the low spots for a truely flat bed. Material is very durable and Ive pressure washed many times. If I ever carry something that can soil (like oily) I always use a tarp. Only negative is carrying bark or pine straw that can intertwine in the carpet fibers. Then again my solution is first putting tarp down. The full cap bedrug goes up the sides and is continous to tailgate so nothing can fall between bed and tailgate.

If you’re in the Baton Rouge area, check out gator tough mobile bedliners. Small, local business that does good work and will come to you. I’d rather support local small business than the big name companies when I have the option, but that’s just me.

I negotiated having the dealer put a Rhino liner in my 2004 F-150 that my son has now. It’s spent most of its life being in a plant 5 days a week, and though faded, is still sound 17 years later. Highly recommend.

Line-X is good but do you really need the entire bed lined or do you just want it? If you don't actually need it, then get a bed mat and save a lot of money.

Rhino has different options now. You can get a basic/thinner liner done or thicker, price varies of course. Bed caps will cost a little more too. They also offer something now to help reduce fading. I’d look into that. Line-X is nice but to smooth for my liking. Things will still slide around some.

I've got the Line-X upgraded to the UV protectant one that's not supposed to fade over time. I think it was $450 for a standard F150 bed. That's shopping around Houston for a good price. 2 years and still looks like the day it was installed.
