Anyone install one of these? LINK My steering wheel sits kind of low compared to my height so often times my lanyard will get caught up in my steering wheel.

That's innovative, I'd be curious to see how the first interaction a ldwf agent has with one of those goes for the user tho

Maybe it was someone on here that out one in. Or maybe I talked to someone. Seems like a pretty good product. I'm hesitant to add more crap that can cause a failure but I think it has an override.

It has to be submerged or 50' away before it kills the motor.
I'd hate to just fall inside the boat and have the boat still going.

Well at least you won't be run over by the prop.

This would be nice to keep my dumbarse from trying to walk up and drop the trolling motor while still attached...every time.

Can it stop you from driving off with the power pole down? I've done this once. Luckily no damage.

We have one. Actually the second one, first one quit working after a year or two.

50' range is generous. If you walk 20' from the receiver it will start beeping at you. Depends on battery in the fob.

not if you hook it to your belt loop like you are supposed to instead of to your life jacket out of laziness

or add an extension to the lanyard cord

I have had one for three years now I love it, it's awesome. You can walk around the boat without having to unhook a lanyard or take off your pfd I have the wrist strap that looks like a watch. I had my initial unit fail 2 years in it was a known problem they sent out a 50% code for the updated version no issues with that one

I'm 6'4", my waist is a good 8-10" above the bottom of the steering wheel. I usually hook it to my pocket since it's the lowest thing I can attach to and still have an issue. Only other option is to sit, which I don't prefer.
