worked at a bank while I was in school and we had a cow run through the drive thru being chased by cowboys once. We also had a huge python slither up one time and I saw two little old ladies doing figure 8's running over it in their cars.
Those are good ones Poxie.
The little old ladies has me cracking up. Probably thought the snake was Satan.

Alligator crossing a pasture and donkeys fricking in the same day. Wanna switch jobs?

Trust me, that was by far the most interesting part of my day. I was able to read 500 pages of a book today, that is how exciting it was. I watched contractors spread chicken shite all over a field. For 10 hours. Yay.

And got paid.
Alligator smelled all that shite looking for an easy meal.

I have deer outside my office window all the time within 20 yards. Was feeding them until I came in one monday and saw tire tracks in the grass. Walked over and saw a pool of blood. Damn co-worker smoked the big nanny that had been coming in

Speaking of donkeys. We have 3 wild donkeys that live near my house. I see them every now and then. Sometimes just tracks in my yard from the night before. When they show up people just run them off and they live in the woods or wherever until they show up somewhere else

Saw a bear and wolf fighting once while "working." Have ran across more bears and whales than I can count.

The BASF site at Geismar has a large buffer of woods around it and there are a lot of deer in those woods. Every once in a while they try a deer round up to reduce their numbers. It's similar to trying to round up horses and not very successful.
Why are they trying to reduce the deer numbers? To reduce the poaching on their site. In the 80's two buddies trespassed onto BASF property to hunt deer. One shot and killed his friend by mistake. He then sued BASF. Seriously. His claim was that BASF created an "attractive nuisance" by having deer on their land. The BASF lawyers wanted to settle but the plant manager decided to take it to court where BASF did win. But their legal costs were more than settling would have cost.
Not much wildlife in chemical plants though I've seen rabbits and birds are attracted by the warmth in the winter. One plant has a problem with Turkey Vultures roosting in the pipe rack and crapping all over the place. The operators keep a shotgun with blanks and take it out every once in a while to scare them off.

Well I have no way to come into contact with wildlife as I see patients for a living in Covington.
However we have a hospital behind our office and last fall a patient of mine calls me and says you have to come over right now and see this, you won't believe it...
I go over and they show me a security camera film of 15 turkeys trying to get into the hospital's back glass doors which were motion activated. I would have loved to see where it would have gone if they had been able to open the door and get into the hospital!
Gotta love city wild animals!

We had a possum walk into our team meeting room once. Mind you, this is a Manufacturing facility and our team room is smack in the middle of it. Crazy!

I work at a Shipyard and we are always coming across snakes. Other than that there are a shitload of coons and stray cats.

I was inspecting drilling support ships in Congo West Africa in the port city of Pointe Noire. I saw many Portugese Man of War in the harbor. I also saw locals selling snakes and monkeys that were chained to posts.

Worked maintenance at a hospital during the summer right after I graduated high school. The second day there my boss and the other maintenance guy were standing outside drinking coffee and throwing rocks at three rabbits that were eating in the grass in the back of the hospital. I, of course joined in, and the rabbits started getting closer to the tall grass and out of sight. Well I picked up a piece of rebar that was about a foot long and started easing out towards them. They all took off running to the grass and I just threw the rebar in the direction they were running out in the grass. I walked out to pick up my rebar and found it stuck in the head of one of the rabbits!! We skinned it and put in the refrigerator (it was worm free) and made a little gravy out of it! I know, I know, CSB.
