another one i have is from years ago. however, it might give away what i do for a living. anyway...
we hit up some thugs on a corner. they were nervous and we noticed a big ice chest on side of the house. of course you need to see whats in it.
i did not expect a 3ft alligator hissing at me when it was opened. after our drawers had skid marks in them, wildlife and fisheries were called.

Nice. Here is my first one.
I work near Harahan on River Road, so the river is about 1/3 of a mile away. There are patches of woods on the backside of the levee. When it rains our truck wells fill up and we have to pump them out in the morning. While pumping them out one day my warehouse guy comes in and says "there is something big swimming in the well".
I see a wake and bubbles, but the water was still too deep to determine what creature was lurking beneath the murky water. I go check about 45 minutes later and there is a big snapping turtle in the corner. I have no idea how he got there.
Put on some boots, grabbed some gloves and grabbed him by the tail and put him in a 5-gallon bucket. There is an oxbox just down river of the Huey P Long bridge. Put the bucket in my truck and drove down the road. Walked across the levee and let him go.

I'm an accountant, and my boss brings her border collie (beautiful dog fwiw) to work everyday. That's about as wild as it gets

While I lived in Cali. I had a friend who panned for gold in dry creek beds and did well. He talked me into going with him in a dry bed next to I-5 right beside Lake Castaiac, it was getting close to dark and we both had a weird vibe, we stopped working and started to look around we both spotted a mountain lion on some rocks about 20' above us. That thing had us dead to rights, my friend had a 38 with him and I had a shovel. I am proud to say I only pissed my pants. It was about 125lbs but looked huge.

These lion stories are fricking eerie as shite.
I actually caught three bass in the lower lake on a trip to a vendor's facility in 1996.

I see hogs, deer, coyotes, etc. all them time, but never really had any cool encounters, but my dad has had to shoot a sow hog at point blank range to keep from getting destroyed by her in the middle of a cotton field.

Whatever pays the bills. And what you do deserves praise my man.
And I am kind of a closet hippie.

Are you talking about the golf course BREC park in Baker?

Might be a little long, but I used to travel a good bit and provide onsite software consulting for manufacturing companies. One trip brought me to Belize City, Belize. I had previously visited this client a few month earlier. This time I was here for a week. First trip I stayed at a hotel, but this time the client offered his other "house" instead of the ratty hotel. Being adventurous, I agreed. Here I am coming off the plane in slacks, button up and tie with my laptop. He then brings me to this house. We pull off the main road on the outskirts of the city and basically head off into the jungle on a dirt road. After a few minutes we come to a small dock and a canal. We get out and there is a doorbell on the dock. He pushes the button and 5 minutes later, a small boat comes up. We hop on and down the canal we go. It is a weird feeling having no idea where you are going. I happened to snap a pic
We arrive at the Belize River Lodge a few minutes later. As we are pulling up to the small dock, you can clearly see 4-6 salt water crocs right there under the dock. As we got closer, they became more active. They told me they give them all the fish guts, so that is why they stick around. As we set foot on the dock, they kinda started fighting and coming up out of the water under the dock. I got away from that dock quickly. I happened to snap a pic on my way out as well.
We ended up on the Belize River and here is the place, great fishing. LINK

the deer ran off but got hung up in a fence near the clover leaf by airline and I-110
the woman was worried about the deers health. lets just say... deer did not make it. poor thing

I was doing some work at Morton salt on Weeks Island and saw a bear eating out of a dumpster. That was pretty cool!
