Both of those have had their share of issues, Bergara especially. Lots of brands making heavy arse “long range” rifles that shoot dimes, but its really not as cut and dry as y’all make it sound when it comes to sporter contours.

Not in the mood for reading 4 pages of responses tonight so forgive me if already stated. X-bolts are accurate guns. But they’re expensive. They make one in 28 nosler and I looked at it but it had a flimsy stock and a small contour barrel. I paid a little more for a complete carbon fiber stock and proof research barrel. They’re just too much money for a “mehh” rifle for me. I’d rather shuck out a little more for a badass rifle.

Got a BAR in 30ought, A bolt in 300win and an X bolt in 300 win short
All are great shooters that have harvested tons of mammal flesh...

I have a predator in .308. It’s a very good rifle.

I see that they make a left-hand in .308, which is what I'm looking for.

Finding one will be the tough part.

I bought one in 7-08 for my daughter 10 years ago and now my son shoots it. It’s a absolute tack driver, one bad thing I don’t like about them is the lack of aftermarket parts. Next to impossible if you want a different stock. I think they are priced right unless you go up to the hells canyon and long range models. If you’re spending $1200+ go with a Sako or Cooper, Chrstensen.

I have an A-bolt 270 with the BOSS system . It’s a tack driver .

My .25-06 is the same. Not particularly fond of The X Bolt though. Can’t really put my finger on why but it’s just never appealed to me.

I bought my daughter a X bolt 7-08 about 4 years ago while we were at the camp. Came back and got it close at 100 yards. Next season shot it to fine tune it, after 4-5 shots it would walk all over the place, but it wouldn't group well even cold. I was going to get new mounts and scope to try. Ended up getting some handloads on gunbroker. Tack driver with them, even with 5 or more shots and not cooling barrel down. Made a world of difference. I have no complaints with the one I bought her, just have to find ammo it likes.
