Other then Shindaiwa. Their dealership is about 90 miles from me and I ain't going that far to get one. Echo, Stihl, or Husqvarna? I always see chainsaw threads on here so I figured I would start a leaf blower conversation.

I buy the cheap Tanaka ones on Amazon. They last me 3-4 years and only cost $130.

Backpack blower or regular handheld?

The stihl kombi setup is tough to beat.

I am open to either option. Leaning toward handheld for now.

If you don't already have a weedeater than the stihl kombi setup can't be beat.

If you've already got a weedeater or whatever, than any one of the handhelds will work fine. I lean toward cheaper=better for the handhelds. Backpack is pointless for the standard subdivision yard.

I have a Husky I bought several years back and it has been excellent.

I think if you buy Stihl, Husky, or Echo....it will be money well spent.

That Stihl kombi setup makes for a weird arse looking leaf blower but my philosophy is whatever works

I sell all three as one store stihl and other is Husqvarna. I can mix in echo and redmax. My best advice they all make homeowners versions and higher end versions. I would find a dealer I like that will answer questions and services me. You have suitcase which more of wide path for residential leaf blowing and backpacks for pinpoint blowing. Some people like suitcase if they do not use it a lot of have back problems. Some people like backpacks. Go to a dealer that is not afraid to pull one out the back, bust open a can of true fuel and let you try them. Finding the right one for you is 99% if the complaints down the road.

Bought a echo from HD and the pull string broke after 6 uses. I'm disappointed to say the least.
