Never ever rebuild stuff like that. Throw it away unless you intend to only use it for a press.

I have to say, I am shocked at the pussiness of the OB in this thread. WTF, the man wants to fix something himself instead of just buying another one. Sounds pretty OB to me.
Good luck on your project and let us know you get pumping again. As for you Whiny Wallies and Sissie Sarahs, go put your helmet on; Its a dangerous world out there.

I enjoy owning quality made stuff. I will take care of that stuff to the best of my abilities because it deserves it, and will serve me much longer than a HF hunk of junk. I am VERY good at breaking low quality things
Even though it is made in China, it is still a quality jack and is somewhat comparable to something made here(Hein Werner) if you factor in price points. The USA made ones get rebuilt all of the time
*I take pride in owning American made products, and hope that others would do the same. The happier we are about the quality of the products, the more likely manufacturers will be to come back and produce things. While this one was made in China, it is still a quality jack. This is about quality, not jobs.

This. I've noticed this entire site has a bunch of Nancy boys on it.

If I can't fix it, you can come over and hit it with your purse

I agree with Motorboat.
ETA That frickin' idiot Longue Carabine reminds me of the morons on Facebook who sign their posts even though we know who wrote it already.

Anyone recommend a good for jack for 7,500 lb truck? I broke 2, two ton floor jacks trying to replace a blown shock 2 weeks ago.

Just rebuild the ones you have. They should come out stronger.
Posted on 12/9/13 at 10:46 am to GotDucks?
Just get a heavy one. The good ones all come with 1/4" steel all around and weigh like 100lbs

You sound.....butthurt. Does this mean we can't be friends? Cuz I really don't know what I'd do if I thought we couldn't be friends.

Grow up and try not to let it bother you.
How about you just not read anything I post? You'll feel better, probably avoid a stroke.

I ruined a cheap 2 ton jack picking up the front of a 3/4 ford 4x4.
Need a 4 ton for that bro
Posted on 12/9/13 at 9:49 pm to Nodust
I have done it many times with a 3.5 ton jack. The good ones have an over pressure valve that won't let the jack blow out
Wish I could afford a long floor jack, but that is way out of the cards

You will spend the same amount buying cheap ones or one good one.

Don't try it. Not worth it. Buy new. Used to run a place that did this kind of stuff and generally it's just not worth it on those unless they are high end professional stuff.
