LA needs to loosen its laws on hospitals.

I see a lot of hospitals in BR with "No Guns" signage. Is there a state law that requires hospitals to post their premises (like casinos are required to do)?

It's not so much a problem in Lake Charles, but in NOLA there were at least 2 active shooter situations while I was in the hospital.

There was also one at BRG Midcity several years ago in BR.

It was partly a joke, how do you think I know they had a dept lol? A man has to get his foot in the door somewhere. I have seen some things while I was there.

Both those incidents happened before I got there, but wasn't one involving an inmate nopd or opp was sitting on that got a hold of some scissors and overpowered the guard? And the second was in the nursery/peds area?

You know doc hardy? Probably the baddest man with a gun I have ever seen

went out to the airport the other day to argue with a ticket agent about an upcoming flight ticket. was walking thru door and saw sign out of corner of eye, did a quick 180,, walked back to vehicle. by the time I got knives and guns out of the pockets, had quite an impressive pile of "stuff" on the passenger seat. since I wasn't flying,, I alllllmost completely forgot about it .

Don't know doc hardy.

Both of the incidents when I was there were in the ER. One was a gang member coming to finish someone off. The other I'm not sure what it was.

Oh well he works in the ER as well, good people. They should have never removed the metal detectors to become more "friendly". But that is neither here nor there, as I have gone off topic now.

It's against company policy to transport firearms in the company car but calling on the clinics that I have to call on I have had the patients follow me around town thinking I actually have product. I wouldn't admit to ever having a gun in my possession while working but I wouldn't suggest testing the policy.

In Texas the law is very clear

Article 30.06 which prohibits CCL holders from entering a premesis with a concealed firearm must be posted at every public entrance in it's entirty in 1" white letters against a contrasting background. Otherwise, it is legal to carry.

These are posted all over the doors at the hospital but the the full article of the law was not posted on purpose.
