Been there, done that. Anything north of the well established line of south la blows.

Tell me what kind of culture is so awesome up there that I am missing out on down here. Snot like I am gonna go, but I feel like laughing a little this afternoon

FOR THE RECORD, SOUTH LA DOES NOT STOP AT I-10

The duck and deer in Davis Island and Tensas are awesome, but I don't deer hunt anymore and rarely hog hunt. It's basically just ducks for me and I love the flooded timber in NWLA more than the marsh. Finished last year's season with a limit including greenheads, teal, and woodies, saw a few otters, and had a 10 point swim through my decoys. Only reason I'm still partial to CENLA is Toledo for the ducks, fishing, and spearing. At the end of the day I care about salt water fishing the most (offshore or yak'n for reds). You can't say the gulf isn't a south Louisiana thing though. I definitely agree with what you posted:

And the swamp is not something you will ever forget about. I'd be there 365 if I could. Once it gets in your blood, it ain't coming out

Swamp =/= marsh

Marsh isn't anything special. The Swamp is the ultimate most beautiful place in the world to me.

I feel like I am teaching a class to a bunch of south Arkansas kids here

There is really no trying to reason with you

I can be objective and give props where they are deserved. There is a lot of good in SLA. But if you cant honestly see anything good about NLA, I feeo sorry for you and your petite, closed mind

Alright hombre, everyone has posted a couple photos from their area as to why it's better, lets see yours. And don't post some bullshite pictures of an egret in a cypress tree.

I can't imagine ever living anywhere but south Louisiana. I know some canals where you can catch bass, reds, specs, and sacaulait in consecutive casts with the same lure, while watching ducks, deer, and alligator around you. The diversity and abundance of area sets South La apart IMO.

The bass fishing is phenomenal with the Spillway, Venice, Catouatche, Verret, Gibson, and endless other waterways.

Saltwater is best in the US.

Deer hunting may not be as good as NELA, but you can kill some hammers down here and you're only 1-1.5 hours from Woodville/Ft. Adams/avoyelles parish.

Rabbits, squirrels, ducks, alligators, frogs, coons, and dove are plentiful.
