So we’re going to fish SWLA Thursday- Saturday then going to the camp in Grand Usle Sunday and staying for 2 weeks. We’re going to strictly chase trout in SWLA and we’ll mix it up in Grand Isle Between offshore and onshore depending on winds

This past weekend is the first weekend I didn’t fish in the last 3 months. Anyone have any luck?

With the number of boats that will be out on the water this weekend, this will be the first one in a while I sit it out.

Planning to hit the beach.

I'll be down there. The west winds are making me nervous.

Hit up PAC Saturday morning and found some
lost trout in the marsh, and also manage to find the “elusive redfish” for some catch n release in the afternoon
Solid day givin the winds

Not too excited about the west winds, water will be on lower side (and usually dirty side) in St Bernard parish area, Delacroix/Shell Beach, biloxi marsh etc.

May just piddle on the Lake Borgne shoreline rocks for some sheep and reds

Just put the boat in the water and at the camp we’re staying in Hackberry. The water is absolutely FILTHY. Worse than chocolate milk. shite you not I scooped a couple inches of water into a bucket and it’s closer to black than chocolate milk. Going to be tough but the lake and pass down here are full of reds so should be able to good on them. Not expecting much for trout. Going to fish here through probably Saturday morning here, then head back east to Grand Isle.

Talked to a charter captain in this area and he said the west wind is poison here in SWLA. We’ll see how we do. I know I can catch fish in a west wind in and around Grand Isle because we’ve fished there all our life and know where to fish when wind is blowing out of X.

You fishing PAC?

Ain’t going to be great. Tide is falling fight now so maybe that incoming tide will have some nice water in the morning.

I am not holding my breath.

Good luck out there. Y’all stay safe.

If I’m not too exhausted after our morning trip, I’ll post some pics before our afternoon run.

Have been here all week and the winds have been brutal. The bite has been really early for me like 6-8:30 am

Caught about 10 trout and a couple sheeps in black lake Sunday on shrimp.
Waded all day Monday for 4 trout and a red. Caught all 4 trout in the first 45 minutes, didn’t catch a trout past 8:30.
Tuesday waded again early and had 16 trout on topwater, most came before 9 am.
Wednesday morning waded the same spot and had 5 trout real early and it quit on us after 30 minutes.

Decided to take today off and woke up to flat calm and winds <5

I went yesterday and fished Freshwater behind Lockport before work. Had 57 Perch, 3 cats and a striped bass. I was selective and let them biting. My neighbor caught 204 the day before but he ain't to selective

I'm either going try behind the Ashland jail tmrw AM or may hit the perch again.

4 man speck limit this morning, only a handful of throwbacks. It happened from 8:45 to right before 10:00.

Also caught a bunch of white trout throughout the morning. Live shrimp under a popping cork.

Anyone else fish SWLA this morning? We caught our down around the pass this morning. Water was dirty but wasn’t nearly as dirty there than in the lake. I can’t believe we didn’t see more boats further south where we were. Looks like most stayed in the lake and didn’t do too hot.
