What parts are you looking for?
We carry charging handles, rails/tubes, triggers, trigger guards, pistol grips, VFGs, butt stocks, etc
Brands include but not limited to:
Midwest
Troy/VTAC
Geissele
CMC
Magpul
Ergo
MFT
B5
Unity Tactical
Carson could chime in on what he stocks.

I don't think it matters which brand you buy. An AR is an AR so all aftermarket parts should fit your colt.
Are you looking to make improvements to its performance or to the way it looks?
Magpul is popular for "furniture"(stocks, handguards, pistol grips) and is fairly inexpensive. I saw the pic of your AR and you obviously need some sort of sight. I would get some sort of backup iron sight first. Every rifle should have backup iron sights even if you plan on buying an optic later on. As it stands now you have a hunk of metal that holds bullets. So go buy some sort of sight so you can at least go shoot the thing. If you're planning on an optic later get a flip up rear sight.
Magpul Backup iron sight
Troy backup iron sightTroy is more expensive but it looks like a better sight. I've never used either

Look at places like
Primary arms
Cheaper than dirt
Palmetto state armory
Amazon (believe it or not)
Classic fire arms.

Midwest makes a drop in Mlok handguard that would work well.
VFGs come in handy in some situations. If you had one what do you think you would use it for?
Do I need a VFG?

Oh, well disregard then.
Do you want it to look cool or do you want it to shoot really well?
That's not a trick question, either is fine and completely up to you. A stock AR will shoot very well out of the box so you really don't NEED to do anything to the guts if you don't want to.
Personally my first upgrade would be a better trigger. I would consult Carson or Ace Midnight on the best bang for your buck.
Of you want cosmetic improvements then there are literally dozens of manufacturers that make aftermarket parts. Some are cheap, some are expensive.

Would that Midwest product fit my Ar? Or what size would I need?
There is a carbine length and then a mid-length

Do you think anyone in Baton Rouge carries those?

I much prefer an AFG than a VFG
liked it so much on the AR I sold I put them on my MP15/22, mini 30 and AK

Every place that sells guns pretty much has them, jims, Bowie, academy, basspro they all have magpul afg

The A2 grip is terrible that would be the first thing I would replace. I prefer a more vertical grip like the Magpul K2. With your carbine length gas system I would also take a look at the SL version of their handguard. I prefer the way it goes under the gas block and gives you extra hand space.
