Whatever guide says he isn't killing in Venice this year doesn't know how to hunt and I'll leave it at that. I would do Venice without hesitation.

I talked to a Venice guide who does the Cast N Blast but he seemed as if he was doing mostly fishing this winter. He told me they weren't killing shite. Who knows

Do you recommend any good guides in the Venice area?

Kevin Broussard was banging them up pretty good. He guides for Marsh Club also, but I know he does his own deal a couple times a week.

Go to north Louisiana.

I've got some ducks in my ponds. I'll give you the "Terry Shaugnessy deal",,, but less an additional 10%.
All the Honey Buns you can eat, bring your own coffee though.

I thought that WMA wasn't open to all hunters. You taking some youth hunting?

Floy Ward McElroy Henry donated a 681acre tract in Richland Parish, two miles north of Rayville, to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in 1990 for the purpose of establishing a wildlife refuge and wildlife management area. Mrs. McElroy retained use of the property until her death in November 2000. Mrs. McElroy mandated that the Floy Ward McElroy WMA be use restricted for outdoor education and youth hunting activities

Doug's Hunting Club south of Lake Arthur used to treat me well. There are ducks plenty of geese and stupid with specklebellies in the area right now.

If your sticking to LA, I would go somewhere in NE LA. If you're paying for a hunt, you might as well shoot mallards.

Saltgrass Outdoors, Patrick Dickinson, Lloyd Landry to name a few.

I can't speak for guides but I can tell you we killed limits on all 20 hunts we made down there this year, longest hunt we had was 1 hour 20 minutes and that was because we had six people shooting. Take that for what it's worth, I have heard very few people complain about the hunting this year. Not sure what to think of a guide that isn't killing birds this year. Maybe I am biased as I have hunted there for over 30 years?

Save ur money and go to bill sherrill waterfowl in Wharton,tx. Best times ever. More ducks than u know what to do with. Goose hunting is excellent also. Lodge is great and guides are great
