In my M&P40 video, you'll notice that since 357 Sig shares the same parent case, any 40 S&W capacity is the same in 357 Sig. My buddy's M&P40 will hold 16 rounds of 357 Sig (15+1).

The HK doesn't go full double stack for one reason or another. Whether they felt it was too wide to make the frame as beefy as they wanted, or they thought the staggered approach offered a more reliable feed or reload geometry...I just don't know. Capacity played no significant role in my purchase though, 12+1 is enough for me.

I'd be perfectly happy with 5 shots for a concealed gun.
I want 75000 rounds for a combat pistol.

Or a ruger or whatever else.
More is better of course, but for a self defense gun I wouldn't feel undergunned with 5 shots. I'm not going towards combat with it.
