It’s starting to take over my yard. Really aggravating since I’ve spent enough money trying to get my yard to look good again. [/img]

Send that pic to Dan Gill. You will get info on how to get rid of it.

It does look like young crabgrass, but send the photo to Dr Ron Strahan, turf weed specialist, LSU AgCenter rstrahan@agcenter.lsu.edu for ID and control. Be sure tell him what tupe of lawn grass you have so he can provide you with control options. Dan Gill retired from the AgCenter last year.

It’s not doveweed or nutsedge. If you are not using pre-emerge herbicides on your lawn, consider doing so - fall and spring.

Google his name. A link comes up with a link. Dgill@agcenter.lsu.edu. Something like that. He answers quick.

Does the area stay wet Op? I’m forgetting the name of it right now, but i believe it prefers very wet areas. I’d consider watering less. You want your grass to start to look thirsty once or twice a week or you are probably watering too often.

If it’s crab grass disregard this.
