What rings and bases do I need to mount this scope on my rifle?

Finally found a scope for my Bergara B14 Hunter but am not sure if I need medium height rings or what? I’m thinking Talley rings and bases but I’m open to other suggestions too. Would medium height rings clear it from contacting the barrel?

do you have a cheek riser on your butt stock? I'd say medium height since you have a 44mm objective. I like Leupold rings or DNZ one-piece rings.

No cheek riser on my stock. I usually use the DNZ one piece but I was looking at a video of a guy that had that mount on his B14 and he said he was having issues with the case ejecting and hitting the rail part. That’s what made me think maybe look into a Talley picatiny rail because it’s a little higher and wouldn’t have that issue.

If you add a picatinny rail it will raise the base about 3/8”
I think you can get away with low but you might need mediums.

Robert, If it were me, I'd start w/ medium rings.I just used Burris medium rings to mount scopes with 44 mm and 50 mm objective on two 22 LR's. OTOH, finding the proper rings can vary from gun to gun that have the same size objective.
For many years I've used only Burris Signature Z-Rings (the ones w/ the plastic insert) and a one piece multi-slot base (usually Weaver, but I've also used EGW and Outerimpact w/ success). Using the Signature Rings, one can also use different plastic inserts to change the POI if the scope's internal adjustment is tapped out. I've had to do that twice and it worked really well and was a good bit cheaper than buying a new set of rings. I recently used Vortex rings and was satisfied w/ them, but I like the Signature rings better. I used a DNZ base/rings once but it didn't work for me because it didn't provide sufficient flexibility to move the scope in the rings or on the base. Good luck mounting your scope. It looks like a nice one.

I have the same size scope in Leupold and use Talley med height rings to mount it to my tikkas. One thing, if you plan on mounting a can, depending on which one, you may need high rings. I have a thunder chicken on the end of my rifle and can see a small silhouette.

Just call Talley. They are awesome to deal with. Tell them the rifle/scope combo and they will get you the correct rings and bases. If you call this morning they will ship out today (via USPS Priority Mail).

I have the Tally mediums on my B14 Ridge. I mounted a Swaro Z5 50mm and it sits a little low. I should have went with the next step higher. I can see my can at the end of the barrel on low power and the bolt hits my pop open scope cap if its closed.

I have a B14 hunter with a 50mm objective. I used the medium height Talley one-piece alloy rings and it sits good. No clearance issues. It actually sits a tad high for my preference, so I added a small cheek riser and it's very comfortable now. I'd say either the low or medium Talleys if you want to go with just rings - no rail. You can probably get away with low height if you have a 44mm and it would sit really close to the barrel.
To answer your questions though - Medium height Talley rings will definitely clear the barrel if running a 44mm objective.
