Kast Kings

Just purchased a pair to use for kayaking and have yet to wear them.

I typically wear SPY and Oakley's and even some of the Costco Kirkland brand

Bajio as first choice. Its run by the guys who started Costa.

Bajio makes some good glasses. Pretty sure the guy who started Costa Del Mar is dead though.

I have the KastKing Hiwassee and I’ve been very satisfied with them. Comfortable and great clarity. Been having them for about a year and they still look like the day I bought them, so they’re holding up well for the money.

The KastKing looks like it's a standard Chinese mold that is being sold under various brand names. I've had a couple pair and liked them, but found them to not be durable at all. One fall and the frame would break above the lens.

Hopefully you don't experience the same. The other company would just send a replacement, but I got tired of doing it over and over.

Bajio isn’t made by the founder of Costa. They are operated by the guys who made Costa into the brand it is today. They came up with 580 lenses and really changed Costa for the better.

Now they are in their own and making an excellent product. I’m really liking what they are doing especially as Costa gets further and further from what they started as now owned and operated by Luxotica.

Anyone have a good recommendation for polarized lenses with 3/0 reader in them let me know I am interested

Costa South Point.

They fit inside the motorbike helmet nicely and do well on the trout stream.

For those like me who prefer 3-4 pairs of $35 shades to choose from(lose), I highly suggest Knockarounds.

Bajio with glass lenses, have two pairs now I'm a big fan of. Friiiick Costa, a shame after having worn them for almost 25 years.

I've probably bought a dozen Smith Lowdown variants over the last 5 years. Currently have 3 pairs I think. My shooting glasses are Smiths too.

I should switch to something cheaper (obviously) and always look at Maui/Costa/etc. but I always just buy more Smith.

FWIW I still like MJ but I can usually find Smith Chromapops on deep discount if I look hard enough, so MJ isn't worth the premium to me.
