That's a true 2 cam bow. Can't see me ever going back there.

I don't have a good press, and do not really enjoy tuning. I have gotten very good at one cam tuning. Not interested in relearning the true twin cam from another manufacturer. Each has their quirks, and it can be a long process.

I can't see me ever shooting another solo cam. I'm not being snobbish, I just didn't shoot well with my one and only solo cam bow. If I'm gonna drop what equates to a house note on a bow and setup I'd like to feel confident that I can hit with it everytime not just 4 outta 5 times.

What do you mean by "don't have a good press?" Can your press allow you to take the string & cable off the cam and/or idler?

I despise bow shops and think that they do half assed work, which is why I invested in an EZ press. I sort of have my own bow shop at my house.

I'm a Hoyt guy and prefer the draw cycle and let down of the cam and a half. I too am like you in that I know how to tune Hoyt's really well and would prefer to stick with what I know.

Oh, if you don't have a draw board, I'd suggest making one. You can make one for around $50 and it makes tuning, syncing, and setting up a drop away rest a fricking breeze and more importantly EXACT.

I only have a portable, and it's a PITA to use. Every time I think about buying a good press, something else takes priority.

Don't feel like the lone ranger. Cabela's had a good press for $99 in their bargain cave a while back but I couldn't even afford a piece of their fudge at the time.

I've never shot a bow, but Matthews bows are hideous.

Understand completely. Not sure if you are a member of archery talk, but their classifieds is a good way to get archery equipment at a good price.

I bought my EZ Press green from a guy on there that had both sets of fingers (curved and straight) and the upgraded hand crank for $325 shipped. If I bought all of that new, it would run a little over $500.

Most guys aren't willing to spend that much on a press, but to be self sufficient and do all of your own work is well worth it. As stated above, most bow shops do half assed work. I grew tired of taking my stuff to them in the past, then getting home and figuring out how the effed up then learning how to do it the correct way. I fletch my own arrows also...which is another thing bow shops will gouge you on.
