What is your go-to bait for spawning fish?

I usually fish small lizards/brush hogs, senkos, and floating worms when they're up shallow. Any more recommendations on baits to target highly pressured spawning fish?

Weightless finesse is all you need. Presentation is everything.

Red shad worm Texas rigged.

Watermelon lizard texas rigged. There's many different variations of these colors, like red flake, kudzu, hell I found a mardi gras lizard once. Especially if the suns out.

Zoom super fluke. Weightless, twitched slowly about 6 inches under the surface. That’ll work on shallow fish until it gets cold again. During the pauses the nose will go down, so the twitching simulates a wounded fish and the pausing simulates a feeding fish. Double whammy
All the other suggestions are good as well. Anything that looks like it poses a threat to the fry will be gobbled up.

liberals are good bait because they don't bathe and smell weird so fish like them

surprised no one has mentioned a rogue. Not my favorite, but I know a lot of guys that will only throw them during the spawn.

Black & red glitter speed craw/brush hog texas rigged
Junebug speed craw/brush hog texas rigged
Fishing the Verret/Spillway area and this is by far our most succesful
Sometimes Watermelon red works too if the water is clearer

You fish those weightless?

You fish those weightless
Weightless prolly would be better in certain scenarios, but I just dont enjoy fishing weightless
I will fish wacky senkos weightless, because between the hook, bait, and o-ring it has enough weight to feel the presentation

I like the zoom speed craw right now. Had good luck on the matrix craw as well. Black red flake and watermelon red. This bass kept stealing them. By time I got him it spit up a few of my baits

humdinger and brushhog.
variations of each depend on water/weather.
i love the rogue but more of a clear/cleaner lake type area.
always have a buzzbait tied on
