will do...I drive to Lafayette every day to work...I've been keeping an eye on the landing waiting to see when they are going to remove the barricade at the landing so I can get back in there...

Every where I have checked and want to check is north of the Dixie pipline. You hunt up there or more in the flats?

I had 40 acres to hunt that I had been managing and passing on deer. Finally thought I was going to turn the corner and kill a nice deer this year. Went out this weekend and they are logging it. The property owner won't return my calls.

can't trust anybody anymore...wouldn't be surprised to find out that they took your money and didn't even have the rights to lease it out...

I was hunting at my 1000 acre club in Arkansas that I paid for with toe money you gave me. Sorry bro.

The 1000 in AR is shared by 10 guys, and 2 are my relatives. We kill about 25 a year and follow state regs. Each member gets three stands and we use feeders more than food plots. Because Plumb creek charges extra for openings wider than 12 feet. It's good hunting. Compared to the 40 surrounded by govt. Woods.
Sorry bro, but loggers say you'll see plenty deer on the log landing.

Found a dead deer not 20' from my camp this morning. No wounds. Could be black tongue. It didn't look sick or anything.

I've heard there are big deer around section 120, it's a little too late to hunt now since duck season is fixing to open though. I know a few spots in that happy town area. I've been hunting sherburne for about 10 years now. I hardly ever go during rifle season. It's full of idiots during rifle. And apparently during bow too since someone mentioned they found a corn pile. They'll get caught eventually. I don't kill very many deer out there though. The biggest I've killed was a 5 point.

Im on a 650 acre lease with 5 other guys. we broke up our lease into quadrants and each have a little over 100 acres to hunt. I also have 10 huntable acres at my house that I mainly leave for my inlaws but I will squeeze in the occasional quick hunt. My family as lots of land near me... around 300 acres... most of which is heavy pines but I have access to all of it just hardly ever hunt it. Seeing as how I pay out the wazzou for the lease I kind of feel compelled to hunt there most of the time.
Also a family friend has @100 acres around his farm that he lets me hunt, it's just a 25 minute trip to his place and I haven't had much success there so far. Mainly because I haven't had the time to go scout it properly. He's been seeing several good bucks so I'm thinking it's worth another trip.

I live in the greatest state in the country for deer hunting and still hunt public land the majority of the time. After 15 years, I have found the places that produce and that with a little hard work, you can get away from the crowd.

-I hunt the Arkansas River bottoms on public land with 4 different stands.
-Have 60 acres of timber 4 miles from the Arkansas River on fiance's family land
-Hunt 2 other pieces of property that I used for duck hunting and built enough of a relationship to deer hunt.

People are stingy about deer hunting here. There is a lot of money to be made, so a young guy banging on doors doesn't always work. Fortunately, manners, a firm handshake, and the willingness to spend a little time with the older generation still goes a long way.

We have a couple hundred acres in Tallahatchie County, MS I can hunt... My dad is in a club in Issaqueana County, MS with access to over 18,000 huntable acres but it's a haul from Memphis so I only make it down 6 or 7 times a year... My wife's uncle has a few hundred acres in Panola County, MS that I hunt sometimes as well... I'm very fortunate.
