Always hear people talking about it and it has peaked my curiosity. Is it located on chef pass?

It is on the east side of Chef Pass between Hwy 90 and the L&N bridge. Apparently it is the oldest hunting club in the country. It's probably very exclusive, because I've never been invited.

My father in law was a member for a few years. I think he said it was started by Andrew Jackson? Could be wrong, but a very old. You have to be invited and approved by the members. And you are correct, old New Orleans money.....

Do they really do that well out there? If I was going to spend a shite load of money I would just buy a house boat/ camp in Venice or elsewhere.

I have hunted out there a handful of times with my uncle and cousins when I was in high school. Some were very good hunts, others sucked. But the club itself was pretty cool, not nearly the nicest club or private ranch I have hunted though.

Old NOLA money isn't flashy. Hunting is better at Little Lake in Lafitte though. Same type of deal.

My uncle is a member, I spend some time out there with him and captain Pete...it's a pretty cool place, not to expensive to be a part of but the membership roll is pretty full.
I will probably join when the kids get older, don't think the wife would want me gone every weekend
