Eloi Bay is in the marsh of St Bernard Parish west of the Chandeleur Islands. Looking for a depth of it.

I've fished here and done well. I have a 20' Jon Boat (kinda looks like metal cheaper bay boat bc has center console and seat in front to cast from) with 90 HP motor. Just want to make sure it can handle swells/waves at the pinpoint. So wondering depth.

Get a good weather app, watch it closely. Pick a day that’s going to be calm. Watch for pop up storms.

Was just 1 day of it. Not sure how consistent it'd be.

It doesn't show Eloi Bay depths on that site. Just depths for further out areas than that. I'm guessing may be 6 ft.

That is a run. Not saying it's not doable in your boat but I would want it to be glass out.

Difficult part of this is that I'm in Houston and would prob want to just fly HOU to MSY. Kind of expensive and hard to wait 5 days before to look for good weather then book 5 days prior to trip.

It'd be a 6 hour drive if not which I can do, but just ehh.

It can get pretty rough out there. Have to catch it on a good day.

12-15’ max. It can get rough quick, but it’s not too far from protection

Go fish Dularge in the fall and winter. Trailer the boat half the distance. Profit?

what’s so attractive about bay eloi that you’ll travel/trailer 6 hrs to fish there? You could drive two hours and be at big lake

I don’t find bay eloi to be near as consistent as it used to be. To answer your question anywhere btw 7-15’. A lot well heads have been ripped up. Dirty water from diversions/MS river. People have better luck in the sound.

Plenty to do in your boat outside of long summer time trout runs. I wouldn’t want to get caught out there in that if the wind kicked up.
