I have progressive bundled with our cars and home insurance. $25 or so a month for $25,000 agreed value and $5,000 personal items coverage, plus bodily injury.

ETA amounts...

I have my boat insured with Geico/BoatUS. Price is roughly $30 / month. My boat sustained $15,000 worth of damage in hurricane Laura and they took care of me with no issues.

I sell insurance...

What state are you in?

Good recommendations as I use all of those markets as well.

I do like foremost for boats as well because they have good coverages l.

Subjective question, best as in price?coverage? claims?
All of the larger carriers will be close to the same on all of these items.
Would avoid; TCD Turkey Creek Direct, BG Bawcomville General & MM Many Mutual.

I currently have Progressive but some on here have said they are not good if you need to file a claim.

Insurance adjusters are like referees, when the claim is gray, they will pull for the company most of the time.
Buddy blew a powerhead and has some coverage under mechanical breakdown. He has had one adjuster look at motor and a second one is looking at the de-rigged powerhead next week. If they find anything out of the ordinary the claim will be denied. He has a 30% chance of coverage IMO, home team cooking is tough to beat.

Thanks for the reply’s guys, I’ve had BoatUs before but haven’t owned a boat in 8-9 years, just picked up a 2008 Skeeter zx225 in great condition and want to put coverage on it.
Our current home, auto, umbrella and personal belongings Insursnce is with USAA, I went to their website last night to get a quote, after I filled out the personal information, the website transferred me to Progressive. Book value on the boat is about $26,000. The quote is for 100k-300k-50k liability, 50k-100k uninsured boater, 7,500 medical payments, Agreed value, collision and comprehensive with $500 deductible each and $2000 replacement cost personal effects. The price was $64.40 a month.
It’s bundled and I would have thought having the other coverages might help on this price but not sure if maybe I should go directly through Progressive, also will probably get a quote from BoatUS and at least 1 other, I live in Texas.

Important to keep maintenance records on engines. A good maintenance track record will keep your engine in good shape and provide documentation to satisfy an insurer's requests.
