I just ordered a briley extended ported light modified. I’ve been using modified for years for dove but going to switch it up. I took my gun with me and forgot I had my turkey choke in again and forgot my extra chokes at the house when packing. Luckily I had a backup in my safe at the ranch because I couldn’t hit shite with that turkey choke

I went with a light modified because most folks I’ve talked to over the years recommend IC or modified. Figured light modified may be a good mix.

Never considered improved modified. I’ve got a couple really good ponds that the birds get on top of me quick but never change chokes and just go with the modified.

Have always used IC with 1 1/8 oz #8. Also pattern all my chokes tubes not just turkey tubes to verify a uniform pattern.

I’ve always been a 7.5 guy for doves and 3 inch 3’s for ducks.

When I bought them from Carlson, I bought the set, so I have a light modified and an improved modified.

I keep the improved modified in because if I see a bird within 45-50 yards, I’m going to take a crack at it
