technique

Shallow cypress trees along the intracoastal. Speed craw and chatterbait. If there is a ditch cutting thru, so much the better

went spearfishing and shot 6 red snapper, 1 lemon, 1 mangrove, 1 pompano.

Went out for a meat haul but early storms in WD screwed up our plans. Never saw an Amberjack but also only dove 2 platforms over 180ft.

Wasn't great but fun

Fished WD Friday and Saturday. Great weather...hot as balls. Tough to find legal red snapper in less than 250'. Caught limit of ARS (3 of us), few mangrove, vermillion and nice white trout.

Saturday...didn't see anyone reel anything in but big arse hardtails. only came back with a couple ARS.

Not sure what is going on there. Have always been able to get decent ARS and good numbers of Vermillion.

I assume trolling for kings?

There was a king tourney out of OB this weekend.

Did well Thursday and friday in surf at elmers. Zipped saturday. Think the constant boat traffic played a roll in that, at least 4 came by so close I had to alter my casts not to hook the boat.

Never alter, never give an inch. Fishing friday we have a boat run through the fish we were fishing and stop within casting distance. Those older gentlemen got to listen to some Boosie, Louisiana cranked up...

reds love mind of a maniac song by Lil Boosie. My DA buddy didn't approve of the tune on boat. Switched to country, no bites, back to boosie, their corks went down. So it's like science.

No Diameter, this tree watched Grant and Lee walk by in the MS delta. Sad thing they had a bigger tree come down in the spring another Cherry bark Oak likely the biggest I've ever seen. My friend has a lot of VERY old timber on his place.

We were in about 230' in West Delta. My son caught both on the bottom with squid. I'd say 3-4 lbs.

I got nothing.

BUT, I'm rebuilding my speck/red runabout, after nearly ten years of it partially sitting, so it wasn't a total waste. Divorces suck.

Motor running like a clock. Carbs rebuilt (had a shop do this).

Had to grind out all my thru-hull fittings, inspected hoses, and prepped the holes for replacement bilge and aerator fittings.

Put new seats in. Ordered new fittings, aerator and bilge pumps, as well as restrung all my rods...and went through my tackle boxes.

Rebuilt the trolling motor while the boat was in the shop, so I need to remount and test it soon.

I also just finished rebuilding my 4 wheeler, generator, and chain saw, that didn't exactly sit, but needed some serious attention.
