Wasn't that bad last night. We had plenty of beer and going to be eating them here in a couple of hours

Then filet them instead of skinning. I haven't skinned a cat in ages. My dad use to do that with a real sharp knife and a pair of plyers to pull the skin off, but I hate messing with the bones of cooked fish.

I simply filet the meat off the bones, flip the cat and use my filet knife to remove the skin. If the cats are big enough, I'll also take the belly meat and skin that out the same way.

Caught a pretty good one today, around 5lbs or so. Kept enough for dinner but she went back and swam off just fine.

A good 25lb salmon.

And a big old Thresher Shark.

Full disclosure: this was the 4th so not exactly a weekend result.

Fished Lake Martin Saturday morning. Spent way too much time chasing a frog bite. Managed to catch about a half dozen or so on flukes.

Most of them were about this size

Caught a couple about this size

Then came home and made some homemade salsa

Janky was at the lake too. They had better luck.

Went and a trip with peace for a buddy’s bachelor party. Despite some shitty conditions. Myself, Hat, and Neck managed to bring in this guy.

Saw you guys by the deepwater challenger. Heard you guys stunk it up on the tuna, like we did. Did score some pretty awesome tilefish and redfish limit tho.

We never even tried for tuna, so maybe you heard that about someone else.
