Yes. I used Amdro because I wanted the liquid application but I sprayed them earlier this week and I don't see any more moths.

Going to tackle the weeds when it cools down in a few weeks.

It's crazy. Never seen this before either. From what I understand the grass will grow back this spring---just more slowly. As long as it doesn't kill it I don't really care. I'm north of BR about 100miles fyi.

Haven't tried to tackle the bugs but as for the weeds I bit the bullet and ordered a bottle of Tenacity. Its expensive but only requires a teaspoon per gallon. It is a great selective killer and says that it will also act as a pre-emergent for next year. If you spray it too thick it will discolor St. Aug but it will bounce back. I just treated my yard yesterday and suspect that I will have to over seed with a winter grass this year and hope that the pre-emergent aspect of Tenacity actually works.

That's my plan too, I've got big bare spots spots developing I may have to plug.

I sprayed the entire lawn with Amdro yesterday. We shall see. I'm not worried about the weeds. This is south Louisiana. The weeds will die and the grass will grow back.

Went to the LSU AG center today and this is what I was told.

The sod worms are first priority. They will kill all of your grass if they are not killed. They recommended liquid Sevin and spray 10 feet in and 20 feet outside of any brown spots. Spray at dusk or morning after dew is gone. Will need to treat several times about every 7 - 10 days. If we have a couple of hard freezes it will kill them but if not they will start the cycle again in the spring.

For the weeds I got Weed B Gon Max which I am going to attack the Virginia button weed clumps. I also got Image that connects to a hose for broader treatment for the dollar weed.
He said they can be done simultaneously and you don't have to wait for cooler temps.
I start attacking worms tonight.

How is liquid sevin for pets?

Still have moths and worms after the latest application of suspend, so time for something new.

Bottle says do not allow people or pets in treated area until spray has dried. If I had pets I would not spray it. My husband did not think to ask as we don't have pets or children.

Sorry.

Go to farm or agriculture supply store and get an insecticide containing bifenthrin to wipe out the worms. May need somehting stronger than the pre mixed stuff.

As for the weeds get some tenacity, certainty, or 2,4D depending on what you have.

I hit it with 2-4D though and about 80% of it shriveled up within a day.
It comes back though.

THE BEST thing for virginia buttonweed is Surmont. Try it, I promise those spots in your yard that have virginia buttonweed every year will be gone. This stuff really KILLS it.
