Ya'll all fancy with the commercial shite. Clegg's has it in a ready to use bottle with auto mix. Screw it on your hose, tun on hose and walk around the yard.

How are you going to control the application rate with a hand sprayer?

If roundup wont kill it, 2-4D probably wont either. Roundup kills dirt.

Not the weak shite Walmart sells. Way too concentrated. I'm gonna call my cousin and see if he can get me some good shite.

Damn i thought you could buy concentrated roundup in small bottles unlicensed.

Get some knockoff roundup. Any glyphosphate herbicide is some kill everything shite i think.

We use cornerstone instead of roundup and brash instead of 2-4D.

I don't do any shopping so wife usually buys the shite at Walmart. I'll go run by Tractor Supply or Old Time and see if they have some better stuff.

2,4-D is normally applied at 1quart per acre or 3/4 oz per 1000 sq feet

As a general rule a hand or backpack sprayer will apply 1 gallon per 1000sq feet, so for a 3 gallon sprayer use about 3-4 oz for applying in a yard. If you are spraying fence rows or saplings I would mix at double that rate.

I sell 41% glyphosate and 2-4D on the side. you need a license to sell 50% glyphosate or higher.

the mix rate on 2-4D is 2 oz / gallon for 11.8% concentrate. check the percent of DSDA in what you're using, and adjust accordingly.

I have almost 30 gallons of 11.8% 2-4D that a guy ordered but never picked up. I will take a loss on it to get rid of it, if anyone needs some.

Let it dry should be good. I wouldn't think it would hurt him, I've been sprayed many times with 2,4-D and I'm ok(other than a slight twitch )

We put 20 gallons of 2 4 D and 14 gallons of roundup into 800 gallons of water when we burn down on the farm. I don't have a calculator on me, but it should be easy to convert that to whatever size tank you have if you know your measurements.

The dog will be fine. I've been soaked in 2 4 D before... Like throw your clothes away soaked. It will destroy a cell phone though.

Roundup-anyone can buy any formulation. Best deal is to go to a real farm supply/co-op/etc that sells volume to farmers. Ask for the cheapest 2 1/2 gallon roundup. Every year the cheapest is different but usually generic brand of roundup. Just check active ingredient, should be 40plus % glyphosphate (spelling) which is active ingredient in r-up. I do this every year or two and split with buddy. Less than $100 for the 2 1/2 jug, mix 2 oz per gallon water and you are set. 2,4d. Anyone can buy a quart. You are supposed to have an applicators Liscense to buy larger than qt container in Louisiana. 2,4d is death to tomato plants and cotton. That's why it's restricted use. Many of the common weed and feeds or broadleaf yard sprays has 2,4d as herbicide. I would worry more about the other desirable plants in my yard when applying 2,4d than the grass.

2 4-D is restricted at higher concentrations but not at 11.8%.
