Weaning pups

I have a litter of pups that are 3 weeks old. They are all healthy and fat, eyes open and starting to wander. Is it time to wean them off momma? Any advice would be helpful, it has been a long time since we've had pups in the house. By the way, heard the first puppy bark this morning. Cute.

Even with rabbit breeders there are different philosophies on "time to wean" but I'd be shocked if anyone said to wean at 3 weeks.
The longer they stay on the mom, the better for them. I would offer some solid food. You may have to put some warm water in it to soften for them. Any supplement will give mom some relief.

Momma will wean for you, just start adding soft food (puppy food soften with water or milk) soon...

Like Wick said Mom will wean them. No need for you to try to.

Here's a pretty informative link. I always remind myself of information on the net is only that person's opinion, usually.

And she will let them know with a swiftness.

Mom is full border collie. Dad is on my most wanted list. Looks like a pit. Dug under my fence. If I catch him it won't be good. I'm up in Ouachita Parish.
