We've been to Venice once years ago but don't remember who we used. We have been to Hackberry more times than you can count. So we aren't rookies.

Looking for recommendations for inshore fishing trip and lodging inclusive. We are mainly wanting to catch trout, don't really care about redfish.

If you're just looking for inshore, you can catch trout in a lot of other places without paying the Venice prices.

Boola Landry is excellent. Eddie Burger recommended him to me and he did not disappoint

We went to a lodge you had to access by boat several years ago that was very nice. Went to Grand Isle and were picked up.
Cooks and guides were excellent, and we caught reds in the marsh and then limited on trout around an old wooden oil rig in the afternoon (think it was at Lake Barre?)

Can't remember the name of it, but maybe someone on here can. I'd love to go back.

I've never fished with him, but Brandon Carter catches trout.the marina has trailers for 150/night. Sleeps 6.
We usually rent a houseboat for 2 nights when we go offshore.

Call Capt Chad with Cajun Unlimited Charters. I have gone one several trips with him and we have always found the fish.

He works hard and is a very fun captain to have on the boat.

Probably not going to catch many trout right now with the river getting higher. I’d go someplace else unless you’re trying to fish in July or August
