We had to reschedule our work trip to October 11. I've heard the fishing is good in October but never been. How is it that time of the year?

About the best time of the year to land a 200+lb tuna. As for as everything else, depends on the weather. Also wahoo start holding the 100 fam line.

Some of the best tuna trips I've been on have been in October. Just bring enough clothes, and it's nice to have a waterproof bib.

This for sure. The run down river is very cool, but once out in the gulf, you will peel clothes off quick.

I keep trying to talk my best bud into going out for some tuna at the end of October when I get back to the states. I think he's warmed up to the idea.

You hear that Tigerbass??

October is generally awesome! Fish can be very close and chunking behind the shrimp boats is a really cool experience.

You certainly won’t be disappointed with either Capt Eddie Berger or Capt Michael Pittman with Fish Venice.

I have fished with them multiple times, and every trip has been spectacular. They are both incredibly nice, laid back guys and we have annihilated the fish every single trip.

Great, I think we are in the boat with Eddie. Will definitely update the OB after. Looking forward to it, never been off shore on the east side of the state
