Headed to Venice for offshore trip tmrw.

Haven't heard any great tuna reports. Do we have a reasonable chance at some tuna, or are we gonna be bottom fishing?

Might try for a sword, if so

Go bottom banging. Tuna is very hit or miss. But mainly miss.

But I'm not worried about it either way, just curious

Well i am going offshore Saturday. We will see what the captain recommends.

Open water, some cold beer (and waters)....a few bags of fish would be nice, but not necessary. Just fun being out there.

like CP3 said, tuna is hit or miss, a lot of guys are bottom fishing for grouper tile and swords. can always snag some snapper and amberjack too

Yeah, same here

One offshore trip a year is sufficient for me

I enjoy trout fishing more, but good to see the blue water from time to time

Not anymore. Snapper is closed for charter boats.

Unless you're talking mangroves

Going with them this weekend too. Looking forward to booze cruising and catching a few reef donkeys!

I'll be with MGFC on saturday on the kimmi. I had originally booked the boat with capt. Justin Fayard to swordfish, but he is no longer with mgfc. They put us with Chad Reinhart. I am sure he is good like the rest of their capts.

I saw chris helveston with voodoo smacked some yft yesterday.

Yup. Chad is a good skippa though. If there are fish to catch, he'll get you there.
