Just purchased this safe for the small collection I own.
Only concern was it weighs 50lbs. Anyone else own one and have a review?

I don't own one, or know anything about them, but here is my $0.02: It should be fine if you are trying to keep them out of the hands of your children or young family members, but if I'm a burglar, I can assure you 50lbs plus the weight of the guns isn't stopping me from taking the whole safe. At that weight, make sure you bolt it down properly so it cannot be stolen.
That's the reason I like my safe, its 300lbs empty. It took two people with a dolly to get it in the house, and three people and a dolly to get it upstairs where it is currently stored. It ain't going no where.

Never underestimate a thief. Buddy had his 64 gun cabinet that was loaded with firearms and ammo stolen from his house. They used a sawzall to cut the 2/4s out of the wall that it was bolted to, and then GOLF BALLS to roll it down his hall to the front door.

I dig your $0.02; Thank you.
If I properly bolt this. It shouldn't be easy to break into. Like mentioned, I don't have much right now.

Impressive!
All safes can be defeated. Even heavy ones can be moved easily by someone who knows what they’re doing and has time on their hands. Bolting to the foundation is the way to go if possible, but having an alarm system to limit their time is important too.

So the thief had to have known the owner had a gun safe and had probably been in the house.
no thief comes with a sawsall and golf balls unless he knows something.

I have cameras and an alarm system. Also, at the end of a cul-de-sac which helps. The safe also has a tampering mode.

My grandfather told me when I was young to avoid the temptation to tell your friends where your guns are at and how many you have etc. Not that you can’t trust your friends, but talk can travel pretty far. It makes it even easier if you’re broadcasting everything on the internet.
I had a bit of anxiety hiring a moving company to install my 1300lb safe. But they’re reputable, move safes all the time, and have seen setups far fancier than mine. I’m sure it wasn’t impressive enough for them to leave and tell stories to all their friends, but it still worried me a bit. Also, they made moving that 1300 lb safe look easy. If someone knows what they’re doing, they’re going to get in.
Biggest fear is what happened to a guy who built a house in Lafayette area years ago. He had a gun room built in and after the house was built, him and his wife were killed in an armed burglary. Turned out to be someone who had heard about it from one of the sub-contractors.
Keep things as secret as you can.

Very good advice. Only two people who know where mine is are the ones who helped me get it in. And even then, they have no real idea of what I have in it. I could have two guns or 200 guns for all they know. It was completely empty when we put it in.
