What is everyone's (generally the uninformed) fascination with these. What is everyone's aversion to a good belt holster that covers the trigger guard. My buddy messaged me asking about this and this isn't the first time. I just don't get it.

I'm thinking the concern is that when you draw using the Urban Carry you could inadvertently put your finger on the trigger and shoot yourself as you draw.
Holsters are typically designed with the trigger being protected from this possibility, so that you can not put your finger in the trigger gaurd until it clears the holster. Of course, you could still shoot yourself in between the time your weapon clears the holster and is actually oriented down range or on target.
My opinion, people who conceal carry or carry firearms at all should be training to do so. More than just the half day CCW course. Muscle memory is what you will fall back on in a fight or flight scenario. If you are going to use the urban carry, know that your training needs to focus on getting a combat grip with while keeping your finger straight and off the trigger until you're ready to fire.

I cc using either a good belt holster or a good pocket holster. I don't have an Urban Carry holster, but from the company's video, it appears as if their holster does protect the trigger guard. I don't understand what your issue is w/ the UC holster?

For anyone here's who considering how to conceal carry their gun, PLEASE use a holster that protects your gun's trigger guard.

I think it's largely gimmicky and think it's a bad solution to a problem that never existed. And as stated before my main issue with it is that it's just a pouch the gun sits in. So when you pull up and get acces to the gun you a grabbing at a gun with an uncovered trigger.

That alright I'm good
As for the Urban Carry, I'm leary of them. Seems too much could go wrong with the draw.
The video looks good but that is someone that has set it up perfectly before hand and can edit out the bad draws.
I would just be scared that something would hang up. I prefer to keep it as simple as possible.

It looks like this product is trying to make concealed carry more comfortable. It may or may not be a bad solution, but IWB concealed carry being uncomfortable is a problem that exist and is the reason many have a permit and do not carry daily. In the video it looks like the trigger remains covered inside the pouch when it 'unfolds' on a draw. It's not a system I think I would ever use, it actually seems like it would be very uncomfortable when one is sitting down once you factor in all the shite in your pockets stacked on top of your gun. For me, any position from 9-3 o'clock is uncomfortable when sitting. I actually find my Alien Gear at 4-5 o'clock to be probably about as comfortable as CC gets. But if the Urban Carry holster puts a few more guns out there for the good guys, I'm for it.
