I've handled the t3x but can't find a t3 in stock anywhere to compare. Also, anyone have ring recommendations for the tikka. I've heard some can be troublesome....

Recoil shouldn't be an issue for me. I'm leaning towards going with the older model and spending more on the glass. Just don't want to kick myself later for not spending the extra money on the rifle if there are significant improvements....

Looking at purchasing my first rifle. Up till now I've always hunted with a 30-30 my dad passed down to me. I've come down to the tikka t3 lite in .308. Are the upgrades to the t3x worth the extra $150 or will I be satisfied the previous model? I'll probably only use it 2-4 times a year....
