A bait dog is one that dog fighters use to train their fighting dogs. Go take a ride down GSRI and you’ll see some bait dogs that get dumped every once in a while. It’s a shame.

Sorry - been unplugged. She was chipped and had a collar with my name and number on it. Our camp is on the eastern end of the isle and we know a lot of our neighbors. It’s really strange that no one has seen her. But there were a lot of people on the island last weekend. Trying to figure out how to post a picture

My wife is in a group text with his wife. I’m sure Ben will/can give full details. From the thread the community came together searching the island all with treats in their hand since she is timid. She was found today because of their effort.

Honey went missing on July 4th and we looked for her for over a week and had great help from the entire community on the isle but had no luck. Well this afternoon I get a call from a nice lady asking if she was still missing because she thinks she saw her in the marsh on the east end of the isle. This area is near our camp and she described her and the collar color matched. The dog was scared and ran off into the marsh and they couldn’t get her to come. This is the first real lead that we’ve had, so I jumped in the truck and headed south and called a friend that lives on the island to see if he would go over and try to get her. Well, by the time I got to Boutte he had gotten her out of the mangrove/marsh area and was back at his house.
I got to the isle, gave her a bath and just got back to BR. Honey ate some food and is now sleeping in my daughters room.
Want to say a big thank you to all of the people
On the island who kept looking for her and praying. I still can’t believe that we found her.
