The unmanned vessel, named Madison Kate, was found south of Dauphin Island.

Anybody heard anything about this boat?

My brother in law found one drifting near the old lighthouse in mobile bay years back. Was a sailboat with the mast cut off and painted dark gray. Had a small outboard and a generator on it. We called the coast guard and never heard anything back about it.

I find it hard to believe that the registered owner of the boat can’t be determined. It either has to have a state registration or be a USCG documented vessel

We came across a party barge adrift about 30 miles out in the gulf one year. Had Florida registration stickers but it was in poor shape. We caught a pile of chicken dolphin off of it and called it in. A WLF boat happened to be nearby, responded, and towed it in.

Am I misreading the Sunday update or was the owner separated from his boat at sea?

It says it’s a 25 foot, white center console. And just looking at that pic I don’t think any 3 of those are accurate.

At least you took care of business first.

Found a shitty bass boat in the Calcasieu ship channel a couple years ago a drift. It took two boats to lasso it and drag over to the camps son h of Kelso.

seems unlikely. More likely that the boat was separated from its moorings

and no, that’s not a center console

Priorities.

But no joke that’s like finding gold floating in the gulf.

White may not be the most accurate description of its color, but the majority of it is white.
1 out of 3 isn't too bad.
