Definitely, I use it as a power BFS reel. I mainly throw 1/4 oz, but also a lot of 1/8 oz. I was throwing a 1/16 oz crappie jig with it in the backyard the other day and it excelled at it.

Wish Shimano would have set it up a little looser for just a little more distance. Set on braid 1, the reel still doesn’t even try to backlash, even with fluoro. It still casts as far or further than my Metanium MGL so I can’t really complain.
