I used to have some old duck commander videos, that showed those baws smashing deer out of the duck blind. I think it was DC 5 Traditions

So in this instance if the guy would of thrown on an orange vest, shot the deer with his bow, and tagged it. Would this have been ok?

providing he wasn't breaking any other laws, trespassing, boat under power of motor or sail etc.

There’s more to this case than shooting a deer with steel shot.
But if that were the only issue- shooting a deer with fine shot- it would be a bull shite charge since they were clearly effective at killing the deer.
We do have too many technicalities built into our hunting regulations, but they are necessary since there are so many hunters who are apparently untrustworthy.
Example: at its face value, it’s only practical for a duck hunter to carry buck shot while duck hunting in the event that they happen upon a deer while sitting. Problem is some clown out there would shoot ducks with buck shot and try to say they were waiting for a deer

You can't shoot a deer with a duck load?

Surely you can't be serious.

Y'all can argue this shite to the death. Fine shot is unreliable and unethical for shooting something the size of a deer.

The two men said they were duck hunting when they saw the 18-point non-typical buck on the bank and they both shot it with fine shot.

did they shoot the deer out of the boat?

Bring a rifle and a urnge (or now pink) vest in your pocket. Deer tags of course and deer harvest report card. I got my tags the other night and now have two wallets: one for money, CC's, etc., the other for the 2 ft string of deer and turkey tags. such a joke.

to add, if i'm duck hunting on public land I wear an urnge vest when walking to and fro. Crazy not to IMO.

still would have been illegal shooting it on land you have zero legal access to

Buddy from Mamou sent me this picture Monday morning saying it was killed Saturday morning. I think them boys got too chatty and drove around town with it.

Honest question. Wouldn’t buckshot absolutely shred a duck? Like unharvestable?
