Thinking about putting together a tuna trip with some buddies for late summer. Came here to get some info as far as who we should look at charter wise, as well as how long of a trip we should take. I'm leaning towards a 24 hr since it will be an 8 hr drive for us.

TIA

You definitely are gonna wanna plan for overnight fishing, and leave yourself some cushion around that for recovery.

You don't know the meaning of the word tired until you get back from an overnighter with a box full of yft.

I had thought about spending 2-3 days in NO then doing a 24 hour trip and then recouping in NO or the casino in Lake Charles.

I wouldn't be to stoked about driving anywhere right after the trip. Best plan is to crash there and wake up early next AM, imo.

Wife wants to know if they let you nap on the boat. If not she's out! I see where they have a condo there for clients. Anyone know how nice it is?

Depends on the boat really, no cabin and you're sleepin on the deck, and it's real tough to keep fish blood/washdown water away from someone sleeping in the way.

shite..she can sleep ANYWHERE. She's the only person I know that can sleep on demand. Might have to do a day trip with her and 24 hour with the guys. She's pretty damn tough and hardcore when it comes to hunting and fishing, but she gonna sleep!
