Looking to charter a Tuna trip with my brother in law and our kids with my Father-in-law who has 2 fused ankles. 7 people in the group.

Any recommendations out of Fourchon, Venice or the Mississippi coast?

Also any recommendations on the best time of the year?

Go on a big diesel boat as opposed to one of the center consoles. It will be slower but smoother. Plus, the center consoles are usually limited to 6 and the larger diesel boats are often rated for more pax.

Call Captain Corey with Reel Addiction out of Fourchon. He is an RN as well as a captain and I know for a fact that he has taken wheelchair bound kids on his boat before. Like others have said, the max they can take is 6.

Just a few weeks ago on this forum it was mentioned the best way to treat a FIL to an outdoor adventure was to park his arse in an fire ant hill....maybe he would enjoy that more???

I would go out of Venice as the time on the boat running in the ocean will be less. Probably looking at 1 hour running one way once out of the river. Coming from anywhere else for tuna you are looking at over 2.5 hours one way, minimum.
