My MX4 leaks also but I haven’t had anything in it I needed to keep completely dry. I like being able to open it all the way.

Nice! How good of a job does it do keeping water out?

I've sold most every kind available and they all can leak a little. No bed cover manufacturer offers water proof covers.

Going back and forth between the RetraxOne MX or the BAKFlip MX4. It looks like you lose about the same bed length for both when completely open.

I have the Retrax pro for a year or so. I walked across it not too long ago, and it started leaking a little more. Maybe 12 ounces on the passenger side rear after a hard rain. I need to readjust the rail to make it stop, just haven't had the extra set of hands required to make the adjustment.

That is correct but one is a hard fold cover and the mx1 is a retractable cover(plastic top btw)

BAKFlip MX4

I went with the Undercover Armor Flex instead and couldn't be more pleased. It feels more solid and tougher than my buddies' MX4's plus it's been bone dry through some pretty intense squall lines that came through over the past few months.

Tonneaucovered.com's out-the-door price on the Armor Flex was lower than other stores' before-tax price on the MX4.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think I'm going to order an Undercover Armor Flex instead of a manual retractable. Hopefully after a full year's cycle of the seasons here, I'll still be happy with the purchase.
