Trolling motor battery $neak attack

Well, the batteries stop holding a charge, so I knew crawling up in the console to swap those beasts out would suck. What I wasn’t prepared for was dropping $680.

I just upgraded to lithiums. With the prices where they are now it’s a no brainer for trolling motor batteries.

12, 24, or 36 volt? And what lithium did you get?

Had two lead trolling batteries and switched to two lithiums. Trimmed 58 pounds from the boat by going lithium

Only if you want them to be. How many of you guys do not have a T-top, spot lock trolling motors, livescopes, two (cause one just doesn't do) Raptor type anchors, custom flooring, etc.
I am just a middle class guy who does not have or want any of this stuff. I have a no frills, rolled gunnel bay boat that gets me where I want to go quickly and safely. I admit that I do have a GPS unit that has allowed me to fish places that I normally would not have gone. I have 1 Interstate battery that never fails me. I refuse to be part of the boat arms race, and no, I am not poor.

I have the powerqueen off Amazon. Got it for the weight because I take it in and out but the power is really impressive.

I have a friend who owns a dealership and uses the Redodos off amazon in all his boats. They are very good priced and he has had absolutely zero issues out of them
I wished I would have known about them before I dropped over $4500 on Batteries and a charging system for my bay boat.
I am set for batteries for a while now and I will be taking them with me this year when I upgrade to a 28 footer.

About a year and a half ago I switched to 2 LiTime Lithium 100ah minis for my troll motor. I can go on 7 fishing trips and the batteries are at approximately 75% ( My typical fishing trip is about 4 hours of fishing time )
I'm impressed, to say the least. And I don't regret the purchase at all.

What charger did you get for this set up? Did you mount it on board? I’m about to get new batteries (and new Simrad recon TM) looking to make switch to lithium. I’m guessing connecting the 3 12v is same as connecting any other type.

I just installed Ionics. One 24V for TM and one 12V for electronics. They have a 12/24 charger that I mounted next to the batteries.

I bought the Litime onboard charger. Mounted it where I had my previous charger. I got a piece of synthetic type board I mounted to. Make sure to use the coupons Litime gives you as it’s for the whole purchase and not per item.

I put the PowerQueen "Minis" in mine, 100ah and a far smaller package. They've been going a year with no problems at all.
