where do i go to find out the status of mine?

The people processing the apps are the same people answering the phones. The more calls they receive the lower the applications processed.

meh, i'm in no hurry. I just thought you could go online and check the status. It'll get to my house when it gets there.

No digitalized is faster, fill out application online, go to LSP headquarters and take fingerprints, pay for digitized fingerprints at that time. When the application has been processed and ready to be issued you get an email to pay for the license. Pay and then you get the license in the mail.

This.

I took my class Saturday, filled out online application Sunday night, and went to get fingerprints this morning. By the time I got home just now I got an email saying my application was accepted and I just now paid my $125 fee.

I got to state police at 7:30 (they open at 8) and got my prints done by 9:30. You can pay with a debit card.

The crappy thing is when they tell everyone to line up, you get in the concealed carry line and everyone else gets in the main line. Once you are finished in the concealed carry line you then have to get to the back of the main line. Yes, you need to get in the concealed carry line even if you are just there for fingerprints.

I'm at the same status...I put in my fingerprints (app done online) on 7/20.

ETA I paid on 7/21.

I did everything online. Got an email on 6/29/16 that everything was approved and they were mailing my permit.

quote:

Application for Concealed Handgun Permit submitted on 12/3/2015 2:05:00 PM was APPROVED. You may not carry a concealed weapon until you receive your permit. You will receive your permit in the U.S. Postal Service mail within 10-15 business days.

Here it is almost 30 days later and I still haven't received my permit in the mail. I figured it was due to everything going on in BR but I may give them a call this week.

Damn you did everything online and it took you damn near 7 mths to get the approval?

Did you do a fingerprint card or did you go to LSP?

I am in Shreveport and did the fingerprint card at the Caddo Parish Court House. However, I was in the same situation as the OP. I took the course in 2013 and forgot to do the paperwork. I took it again in December 2015 but uploaded the old certificate by mistake. That caused my application to be returned in February and I had to send the updated one back to them.
