Have angled foregrip, romeo 5 red dot, brace stock it came with with strap, and flip up iron sights
you're screwed.
register it for $200 or remove the brace and replace the buffer tube.

For anyone considering the SBR route, my experience:
-Paperwork took about 20 days to be approved
-tax stamp is $200
-receiver must be engraved w/ your name/address. cost - $20ish
-to travel across state lines w/ SBR requires approval form (5320.20). This took 120 days and is valid for 364 days. Most people file one annually for any state they frequent.
Perks of SBR:
-configure any way you want. No barrel length or attachment restrictions.
Takes a special kind of stoopid to truly believe any of these laws and policies will create meaninful change.

Wow well this was a waste of money. I’m only gonna use it at the range, not sure where I would ever encounter atf agents.

don't put it past the federal gov't to hang around gun ranges. if you're in the back 40 of your hunting property, that would be a different story.
how much do you value the pistol brace?

Mine looks like this below. I’m not even sure what I’m supposed to be replacing

You have the SB Mini brace? Or is it the adjustable/telescoping one?
You also mentioned you have an angled fore grip. I have a strong feeling that you’re over the point limit.

It can be adjusted to different lengths but it has the straps so it can be put around the wrist. I remember when I bought the angled foregrip it was legal but I guess things have changed

just take the brace off, replace the buffer tube with a smooth/no notch pistol rated buffer tube and keep all the other shite on it and call it a day.

So I can still have the stock thought right? Like be able to shoulder it, just change out the buffer tube so it can’t adjust?
Or if you have a link to what you bought that would be super helpful

first mistake. quit calling it a stock. it's not a stock.

the ATF is trying to keep you from doing this. that's the whole point of the points system.

no. you're going to take the pistol brace off and throw it in the trash. or closet. replace the buffer tube with a smooth one.
essentially, you're AR pistol will look like this.

Ok that really fricking sucks, thank you for clarifying
I guess my question would be is there a way to be under in the point system and still be able to shoulder it. If not, I may have to figure out this form 1 bullshite and pay $200. Hopefully it doesn’t get denied

the form was designed to be as vague as possible. an ATF agent in louisiana can judge a specific setup completely different from an ATF agent in new york.
basically, if you have an adjustable pistol brace, you've already failed the form. they give an example of one passing, the image and form on the previous page, but again, it's still up in the air based on which ATF agent you may or may not run into because they will all judge it differently.
you essentially have 3 options:
remove the pistol brace / replace the buffer tube
register it for $200 and put a real stock on it
ignore it and risk getting caught

So what if I make a tactical shirt with a shooting pad in it that has a recessed indention that is 1/4in larger than the pistol buffer tube??!!

A friend and I were talking about this point system a few months back and how screwed companies like SB Tactical will be. But we wondered what stops a company like SBT from making a wearable shoulder pad that can do what you described.

Vague and ambiguous, should be DOA in any sane courtroom.

Anymore updates to this? Still haven’t seen anything saying “we’re now enforcing this rule.”
