What is customary? Captain and deck hand were good and we caught fish. I think it was $2100 + fuel.

are you asking this from the dock?

Usually do about $450 or so total

I have done 20% of total for great service

Most deck hands work for solely tips. Captain may guarantee something but often not much
So we typically do 20% to deckhand if they work hard, are personable etc it’s the captains job to put you on the fish

Ok we did $500 to deck hand and $300 to captain…would rather over than under. Split 6 ways so no biggie. Those Freeman boats are incredible.

Customary for 20%. If they work hard for you, up to you. They usually don’t get paid by the boat.

I live right beside a boat landing on the bay, and I often see those rolling in and out. Amazing looking boats.
