I ended up doing it.

Thanks to the OP for posting the deal.

Side note: if anyone is looking for an excellent condition 4.25" M&P 40 with a trigger job and a paddle holster I know a guy...

I think most can understand how it may make someone nervous putting in non-factory parts.

For me it's more about who put in the parts that sketches me out when I see used guns with upgrades or where the own has polished or reworked some internals.

I put an Apex in my Shield and have shot it probably 1000 times since. No issues at all. The trigger is magnificent.

I also put a Ghost disconnect on my Glock 19. Made a huge improvement on that trigger as well. Not as good as the Shield with Apex but not far off.

One of the most comfortable guns I’ve ever fired. Love my compact 2.0. Have the Shield too. Can’t figure out which one I like better but lean towards the compact.

Get one, no way you’ll regret it.

Agreed. If someone says he did his own personal trigger job and he's not a well-known gunsmith or something that would make me nervous about it. But in this case Apex is a pretty well-known and respected manufacturer.

Got mine in if anyone gives a hoot with this deal still going on...

Nice upgrade from the 1.0 4.25"

Fits my hand well. Found it has less flip than my full size. May be due to being able to get a better grip with the more aggressive texture.

My 1.0 has an Apex hard sear, and the 2.0 stock trigger is right there with it. The only difference I did notice is the 1.0 has a little bit less take up to get to the wall.

Also food for thought: in the .40, the 13 round mags don't like having the 13th round in them when they are new. They much rather 12. I'm sure that will break in over time though. They really stretched that claim of "13+1"

You ever tried loading the last round on a new Shield magazine? I about broke my thumb trying to get that sucker in!

It'll loosen up with time. Springs lose their strength by compressing and decompressing numerous times, contrary to popular belief of them becoming weak after being compressed for a while.

Yeah I would have to put some talon rubber grips on top of that
Not to hijack the thread, but I have alternated between the Talon Grips and the Traction Grips over the last 18 months.

Both are excellent, but I prefer the Traction Grips. (Both are far superior to the old Decal Grips that we used for a loooong time.

p.s. The OP should be banned for posting stuff about sale prices on guns. (I just ordered one -- $399 w/ free shipping and no sales tax is impossible to pass up

Their sale price is apparently valid thru December 31st.
