I lived just down the road (S.Tiger Bend) for a number of years. That whole area used to be THICK with deer. With all the building going on and the poaching not sure anymore. It wasn't uncommon for me to have 12 or more deer in my yard, shot a doe from my back porch once. Also used to get at least two road kills in my front yard every year. I talked to the folks that leased it a several years ago, pretty tight group.

I think it's still up for sale. I know a guy that has 40 acres adjoining it with a ton of frontage on the Amite. He doesn't hunt or fish.

Know people with property bordering it..... I think some of the development in the immediate area has hurt it some...plenty does...

I heard it did sell. But maybe I was misinformed. I heard Boone bought it and planned to develop it.

Very few acres of it is developable due to flooding and wetlands issue. I have a friend that has property that is right there by it and it's pretty good hunting to say it's so close to town. We used to shoot ducks in the back in sloughs and along the river and deer hunt it pretty hard when younger. I think they have 1200 acres there

I live right there I always see deer passing through I was always curious how to hunt it because I could walk to my stand and right now I drive to Mississippi 
If I had the mula I would inquire ab this and the highland Burbank club
