Post stimulus $$$ the gun counter at Academy on Vets was filled with black customers every time I went in there. More customers than guns.
I took a conceal carry class in July and half were black.
Anecdotal I know but I can believe these numbers.

I like hearing that new demographics are getting into firearms. The more armed a society, the more polite it is.
Also, once someone buys his/her first gun, it quickly makes one realize how ridiculous most firearm laws are and how quickly you can burn ammo. When I see a news story of a “stockpile of 100s of rounds of ammunition” I just laugh because it’s very easy to burn through that at the range. A new gun owner will quickly learn this after some range time.
Once reality slaps someone upside the head and reminds him/her that they are their own first responder, that’s when a gun owner is born.
I also strongly believe that gun control will be a losing issue for at least the next 5 years. Don’t believe the BS the media is selling about gun control being popular. They are just the loudest. Stay vigilant though.

What's your 9mm pistol of choice? or top 3 if you can't narrow it down?
I have a 2011 that was my quarantine project that I adore.
Next would be my H&K vp9
then Glock 19x or a polymer 80 34

Alx, your argument is just ridiculous.

It’s ok that you it don’t understand that I’m practicing to get into competition shooting.

I can hit 2 12 gauge shotgun shells at 25 yds freehand in 4 shots

That people practice with firearms

You want to bitch about people buying obscene amounts of ammo just to buy it? I’m with you to an extent.
Complaining about people who actually shoot a bunch? Wow

Somebody start engraving this guy’s medal.
3 gun comp shooting/practicing isn’t for everyone, but is fun as shite. If you don’t have any interest, more power to you but don’t pretend to not understand either.

Making a short range shot with a scoped rifle is way different than training the muscle memory needed to be fast (and safe) in a speed shooting competition. I routinely drive to Wal Mart to pick up beer doesn't mean I can jump in a Nascar and make good lap times on a track.

ome day soon the gun control zealots will catch on and their focus will move from the guns to the ammo.
This already happened. Biden's platform aims to outlaw online sales of guns AND AMMO. Imagine trying to only find it locally right now.

As to the latter, maybe, never know.

How the hell can somebody who doesn't use a gun for a living burn 600 rounds of centerfire ammo a month? Everything other than sporting clays is boring after 50 rounds.
You would be very surprised how many people shoot competitively every single weekend around south Louisiana/MS. Almost every match (USPSA/SCSA) has a minimum round count of 150 if you don't miss. Hell, there is a high round count steel match this weekend in Amite that should be around 200 rounds.
I was regularly shooting 800-1000 9mm rounds a month. Now that primers and projectiles are scarce, I've cut out practicing and only shoot a couple matches a month.

Well I can hit 2 9mm shells at 50 yds with just one shot from my 12 gauge
Seriously though three gun comps are neat . I have never done it but had a good buddy that was into hard into it for most of the last 10 years......till he got married.
FWIW, try hitting the nose on George Washington's face on a dollar bill with an arrow.......
....ohhhhh, I forgot to mention that you won't know how far out the dollar is and it's gonna cost you a $1 per arrow to give it a shot (and your arrows of course)...
....took me 7 arrows, and my last three all hit the dollar bill....
at 106 yds
But in all honesty that was many moons ago
